2024 Predict Conference

Predict, CEIR’s Annual Exhibition Industry Outlook Conference brings together executives in the B2B exhibitions industry to learn about and discuss emerging trends likely to impact trade shows and trade fairs three to five years out. The conference is designed with an outward looking approach, bringing in perspectives from forward-thinking experts to stretch one’s thinking.

Exhibitions and events have returned to the face-to-face format with many nuances in play. Exhibition organizer leaders are adapting and responding to their stakeholders’ needs and changing market dynamics. From the aftereffects of a virtually complete industry shutdown, the industry is still working through new strategies on how to produce successful and viable trade show(s), and the magic bullet has yet to be found.

The Predict program is focused on supporting the viability and resiliency of the B2B exhibitions industry through insights on market and economic trends presented by experts outside of the industry as well as industry peers, deep dive discussions and new perspectives to shift the conversation from what worked in the past to what is needed for future success.

The 2023 conference was designed to provide insights on trends now, and into the future. As its name implies, Predict will help your organization to be future focused by bringing in experts from outside the exhibitions industry to provide big picture insights into the economic, social, political and digital trends occurring in the global marketplace.

Sessions covered the global economy and geopolitical landscape, customer centricity, mega and micro-generational trends, and insights for tomorrow’s world, all featuring perspectives from both inside and outside the B2B exhibitions industry.

How is Predict different from other business conferences?

Predict offers the perfect mix of discussions that incorporate two types of forecasting models that can be used to prepare for the future: quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative data is observed in the CEIR Index model identifying patterns and trends from industry data points including net square feet, number of exhibitors, attendance, real revenue and more. Qualitative models are observed through partnerships with thought leaders with deep market research that is applicable and can affect the future of the industry in regards to attendee engagement, user experiences and more. Predict will provide you with information to help position your trade shows, and your company, for success.
