About Predict

Executives attending will discuss key economic indicators for the exhibition industry and the impact it has on organizations that produce exhibitions for the next three years.

This year’s CEIR Predict sets the stage for inspiring conversations between panelists and attendees on business insights and strategies. With an ongoing uncertain global economy, forecasting and making business decisions is more difficult than ever. Key economic indicators for the exhibition industry, examining reasons why some sectors performed so well in 2013, and others did not, will be a focus of discussion. This executive-level, one-day event is a highly-intensive and interactive program, speakers will engage attendees by providing a forecast for the CEIR Index’s 14 industry sectors for the remainder of this year and through 2015.

In today’s economy, leaders must be strategic, adaptable, and able to quickly respond to changing market dynamics. Peer learning and information exchange will help leaders in the industry to better respond and plan for the coming year. Experts will address the global economy and its impact on the exhibition industry, M&A and lending, how major sectors are faring and what issues and challenges might be expected. New this year is the Association Forum, a session with executives of major players in the exhibition industry who will discuss unique challenges they face.

Predict 2013 is being developed by the CEIR Predict Planning Committee chaired by Bob Priest-Heck, Chief Sales Officer, Freeman.

Other members of the committee include:

  • Predict Co-Chair David Audrain, CEM, President & CEO, Clarion Events, North America

  • Predict Co-Chair Dennis Slater, President, Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM)

  • David Audrain, CEM, President & CEO, Clarion Events North America

  • Peggy Daidakis, Executive Director at Baltimore Convention Center

  • Steve Moore, President & CEO, Greater Phoenix Convention and Visitors Bureau

  • Don Pazour, CEO, Access Intelligence LLC

CEIR Predict is the event that focuses on the CEIR Index which provides an objective measure of the annual performance of the exhibition industry, measuring year-over-year changes and a prediction out three years. Four key metrics are measured: net square feet of exhibit space sold, professional attendance, number of exhibiting companies, and total event gross revenue. CEIR Predict is the only annual conference at which experts analyze and provide forecasts about the exhibition industry.

far ahead. Only one link of the chain of destiny can be handled at a time.
