2015 Q1 Data Reflects Continued Gains

DALLAS, 1 June 2015 – Today, the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) released 2015 first quarter data collected for the annual CEIR Index report. Despite the severe winter, the performance of the business-to-business exhibition industry, as measured by the CEIR Total Index, posted a year-on-year gain of 4.6 percent (see Figure 1). This increase reflects strong industry growth, marking it as the highest increase since the second quarter of 2007.  (more)

2014 CEIR Index Results Released

DALLAS, 13 April 2015 – Today, the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) released the CEIR Index Report. The CEIR Index analyzes the 2014 exhibition industry and provides a future outlook for the next three years. In 2014, the Total Index increased by a moderate 1.8% for the year as a whole, one percentage point higher than in 2013 and just slightly below the 2.0% forecasted growth.  (more)

CEIR Releases 2014 Fourth Quarter Results

DALLAS, 4 March 2015 – Today, the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) released fourth quarter data collected for the annual CEIR Index report. The performance of the business-to-business exhibition industry, as measured by the CEIR Total Index, continued to improve during the fourth quarter of 2014. The fourth quarter of 2014 marked the eighteenth consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth. However, the growth decelerated from a revised year-on-year gain of 2.3% in the third quarter to 1.7% (see Figure 1).  (more)

CEIR Releases Third Quarter Results

DALLAS, 16 December 2014 – Today, the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) released third quarter data collected for the annual CEIR Index report. Performance of the business to business exhibition industry, as measured by the CEIR Total Index, continued to improve during the third quarter of 2014. The growth accelerated from a revised year-on-year gain of 1.3% in the second quarter to 1.8% (see Figure 1). The third quarter of 2014 marked the seventeenth consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth. Nonetheless, the growth of the exhibition industry index lagged a bit behind GDP growth for the second straight quarter, in contrast to the previous two quarters (2014Q1 and 2013Q4) where exhibitions grew a bit faster than GDP.  (more)
