DALLAS, 9 June 2014 – Today, the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) announces it will hold its first annual CEIR Golf Classic during IMEX America on 13 October in Las Vegas at the Rio Secco Golf Club in Henderson, Nev. This buyer-seller event serves the overall travel, tourism, meetings, conventions and hospitality industries which benefit from the analysis of the performance of the exhibitions industry research that CEIR provides throughout the year.
CEIR President and CEO Brian Casey, CEM, said, “CEIR’s golf tournaments have evolved based on the positive feedback that we have received in the past, and we are elated to work with IMEX to offer this wonderful complement to the portfolio of opportunities to continue to raise funds for CEIR research.”
Each year, CEIR holds golf tournaments to provide essential funding for important industry research. These worthwhile networking opportunities allow industry professionals to spend valuable face-to-face time with industry peers while making a difference in support of continued industry intelligence. In addition to collocating with IMEX America, the CEIR Golf Classic will follow the Convention Industry Council’s Hall of Leaders Gala which affords industry professionals an additional networking experience while onsite.
“We are delighted to partner with CEIR for the first time this year at IMEX America,” said, CEO IMEX Group, Carina Bauer. “This golf tournament delivers another new element to the Smart Monday offering and gives participants a great opportunity to network in a very special setting, at the same time as benefiting the industry.”
Rio Secco Golf Club was designed and built in 1997 by golf course architect Rees Jones. The course lays at the foothills of the Black Mountain Range 13.5 miles southeast of the Las Vegas Strip. Rio Secco can play to over 7,400 yards and is very difficult, but also offers four teeing grounds to allow golfers of any skill level a memorable golf experience. Features include six holes through steep canyons, six holes on a plateau overlooking the city and six holes in a broad desert wash. Rio Secco is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment, Inc.
Sponsors for the event thus far include the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, CLI Groups and Caesar’s Entertainment. Without their kind and generous contributions, the CEIR Golf Classic at IMEX America would not be possible. For more information about the event, visit http://www.ceir.org/golf/imex/.
