CEIR Announces Search for Next President and CEO

DALLAS, 27 June 2013 – The search for a successor to the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) President and CEO Douglas L. Ducate, CEM, CMP has begun in preparation for his departure at the end of the year. CEIR’s Board of Directors has retained Minnesota-based SearchWide, a full-service executive search firm which specializes in C-Level, director and management level executive searches for companies ranging in size from Fortune 500 corporations to mid-sized public and private companies, to handle the search.

His vast industry experience has advanced our mission and helped make CEIR what it is today. An internal succession planning committee has been formed by the board of directors to facilitate the search effort, and it will be charged with all aspects of a search to identify individuals to be considered by the board of directors for the next CEO of CEIR. The board and the search committee are committed to taking steps to guarantee that the search for the next CEO is fair and transparent; therefore, the committee will work closely with SearchWide to handle the recruitment and review process.
