Description:     Part I in a two part series of reports on the cost effectiveness of exhibition participation, this report compares the average cost to make a first face-to-face contact with a potential customer with and without an exhibition lead. Also quantified in this survey are the costs to identify a new customer prior to a sales call with an exhibition lead versus without one. Finally, study participants also gauged the perceived value of exhibitions in various different aspects. This study was conducted for CEIR by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Travel & Tourism Center at the University of South Carolina.
